Christopher M. Tarnok is a litigation associate at the firm concentrating his practice in the field of commercial litigation, with experience in representing large New York City real estate developers, condominiums and cooperative buildings. Mr. Tarnok also represents owners, architects and contractors in various types of commercial disputes as well as representing them in the negotiation and execution of construction agreements for high-end residential and commercial projects in New York City.

Mr. Tarnok received his Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from St. John’s University in 2004 and was a member of several honor societies during which time he also volunteered as a New York City Auxiliary Police Officer in his neighborhood. Shortly after receiving his Bachelor of Science, Mr. Tarnok obtained his juris doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law. During his time at St. John’s Law, Mr. Tarnok was a member of the Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute and competed in various competitions including the National Civil Rights Competition in 2007. He was also involved in the Public Interest Committee wherein he, among other things, volunteered his time and services with the Student Hurricane Network assisting victims of Hurricane Katrina. In addition, Mr. Tarnok served a legal intern for the Honorable Kenneth Davis in the Supreme Court, Nassau County, as well as the King’s County District Attorney’s Office in both the misdemeanor and felony trial divisions.

Mr. Tarnok is an active member of the New York State Bar Association and is a section member of the Committee on Real Estate Construction.

Mr. Tarnok has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star: New York Metro Area.

Prior to joining D’Agostino, Levine, Landesman & Lederman LLP, Mr. Tarnok practiced in the field of personal injury wherein he represented clients in all stages of litigation.
